Due to continued growth within the Commercial team we are now looking for two Assistant Quantity Surveyors to support a major Rail Project based in Birmingham. Working as part of the Commercial Team on this project you will: - Prepare data to timescales and in the format required by the Client.
- Attend regular management meetings to monitor progress and identify variances on budget and cost.
- Assisting the Commercial Manager in the execution of basic office, technical and surveying functions
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Team
- Previous commercial experience working within civil engineering, building or M&E works.
- Knowledge and experience of the rail industry or other similar safety critical industry desirable.
- Those studying for or obtained a qualification in a relevant discipline would have an advantage
- Good computer skills in Basic MS Office packages
- Good communication skills
- Ability to seek out information, and use initiative and innovative thinking where required
- Lateral thinking
