Due to our continuing expansion we currently have an opportunity for a Bridges Engineer on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from Bangalore, India. Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world renowned consultant. Essential - Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Degree qualified in a relevant discipline)
- 3-8 years experience in the design of bridges and highways structure
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and all Microsoft Office software
Desirable - Experience of finite element analysis
- Experience of the design and / or assessment of reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges
- Experience of the design and / or assessment of steel composite bridges
- Experience of the design and / or assessment of earth retaining structures
- Experience of the design and / or assessment of bridge substructures, including piled foundations
- Familiarity with bridge engineering software, including grillage analysis programs
- Familiarity with UK design codes
- Proficient in MS Office
You will be a Engineer within the Bridges team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects. You will be responsible for: - Project based supervision of engineers and drafting staff
- Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior engineers
- Delivering projects to time and budget
- Liaising with UK based customers in a responsive and client focused manner
