Brief Description To maintain, oversee and where appropriate develops systems, which assist in the efficient and effective use of finance and ensures financial probity across the Area. This post will work closely with the Area Management Accountant and support the Office Managers and Heads of Service in their budget management role. Vacancy description Candidates for this post will need to be highly IT literate, especially in Excel, and have, or be willing to work towards, the AAT qualification. Experience of accruals, prepayments, forecasting and budget monitoring is also essential. Effective oral and written communication skills and an ability to communicate with all level of staff in a confident and professional manner are essential skills and qualities to this role. Applicants who applied for this role within the last six months need not apply. Language Skills - Good interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage positive working relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels ranging from senior managers to practitioners on the front line, including the ability to adapt communication methods to suit an audience.
- Very good listening skills.
Skills - Excellent IT skills, familiar with leading edge technology and its applications to the work of Cafcass.
- Knowledge of general office practice and procedures.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and complete work to agreed timescales.
- Knowledge of Budget Management and Budget cycle.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to use own initiative within negotiated limits.
