JOB PURPOSE/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (why job exists / what it must achieve) Purpose / Key Responsibilities : • Hit Sales targets for relevant brands • Contribute to the development of the CoE brand strategies and campaigns, ensuring appropriate tailoring for APJEM, and driving implementation of these through the APJEM Network and key LOCs • Champion brands in existing portfolio • Maximize the performance of new assets by helping Areas/LOCs implement world-class launches. This will be achieved by working closely with the APJEM network, key LOCs and the CoE Launch Excellence process • Support and participate in Network meetings o Support the Head of Commercial Development – APJEM to deliver successful Regional Network meetings/TCs in accordance with the agreed Charter o Support the APJEM Network to drive collective excellence and collective directive o Support Commercial Heads for Area Hub meetings where appropriate • Participate in key cross functional teams such as CCRM (Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory & Manufacturing) to ensure alignment and provide the environment for x-functional challenge and support relative to their specific brands • Liaise with agencies/Medical Comms/EE team to support the development of promotional materials (including CLM) and above country tactics • Proactively engage prioritized LoCs & areas to drive best in class and consistent execution and of campaigns and tactics • Effectively conduct market/area visits to build alignment, enhance performance and share best practices related to specifics brands while bringing issues/comments and input from country into CoE and APJEM plans/thinking • Support prioritized LOCs and Areas to address the Network-identified issues and opportunities within the therapeutic area • Coordinate logistics around APJEM Network meetings • Additional liaison and support to Areas/LOCs as required: • responding to questions / requests • analyzing business environment in APJEM • Work with CoE to track, monitor and respond to competitor activity
JOB FACTORS ACCOUNTABILITY: (primary deliverables of role; it's scope; impact on strategy/ policy /business / people relationships) • Accountable to the APJEM Commercial Head • Facilitate and ensure that specific Network guidance and input are fed into CoE strategy/campaign development and meets the significant majority of APJEM needs • Accountable for developing, implementing and tracking agreed upon above country programs/tactics • Accountable for the successful role-out and implementation of CoE deliverables across APJEM in a timely fashion • Facilitate effective and timely communications across a complex stakeholder matrix • Utilizing agreed metrics and tracking mechanisms, work with the Network and LOCs to positively impact the business thus • Track and manage A&P budget – providing updates/input to APJEM lead • Actively participate in appropriate APJEM teams such as APJEM Network, Area Networks and CCRO meetings • Liaison and support to Areas/LOCs • bringing issues/comments and input from country into plans/thinking • responding to questions / requests • analyzing business environment in APJEM • effectively conduct market/area visits to build alignment, enhance performance and share best practices related to specifics brands • work with CoE to track, monitor and respond to competitor activity COMPLEXITY: (degree of change & uncertainty; level of influencing required; degree of matrix working) • Deliver the key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role managing across the diversity of the APJEM regions (understanding the EU position and influencing the overall CoE strategies) • Managing the interfaces in a new structure – EM, AP and J • Understand, identify and act upon the changing APJEM environment and specific LOC issues (including Japan), maintaining flexibility in finding commercial solutions to local market issues whilst delivering a single therapeutic strategy and single solutions where possible • Understand and influence, through the Network, the overall CoE Strategy • Managing multi-brand/indication portfolio SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE: (breadth & depth across disciplines / functions; expertise in field required) • Broad marketing and sales experience • Deep Commercial (Marketing/Sales) understanding of the therapy area • Established leadership, networking, communication, influencing and team building skills to work effectively in a matrix environment • Cultural sensitivity and awareness • Ability to succeed in a fast moving, uncertain, changing environment Job Type: Permanent Location: United Kingdom
