Responsibilities: As Drawing Office Engineer, you’ll assist in the development of the mechanical/office engineering section so that it supports successful commissioning and flawless start-up and normal operational activities. This will be achieved through the development of drawing office systems so they are able to accept documentation and data issued by contractors. We’ll also expect you to: - Ensure documentation integrity through development and implementation of drawing office engineering procedures, working instructions and acceptance standards that are based on applicable company standards and contractual requirements
- Ensure compliance with the company's QSHE policy and guidelines for all drawing office activities
- Ensure that procedures and services are developed and available to ensure documentation and data are kept up-to-date immediately after handover
- Develop strategies and scope for contract requirements to support the drawing office activities
- Assist with the development of Qatari nationals to fulfil line positions in line with company objectives.
Requirements: With a minimum 10 years’ experience in an office engineering environment and knowledge of engineering documentation used by discipline engineers within the petro chemical industry, you’ll have recognised trade qualifications or a secondary or tertiary qualification in engineering with experience in a certified ISO quality system. You should be able to develop procedures and working instructions to support drawing office activities and ensure 100% control of the engineering drawings and data. We’ll expect you to work with discipline teams and the project engineering team to ensure proper control and distribution of documentation concerned with plant changes. You must have proven experience in supervision and working directly with managing contractors, and possess the ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment. Ready to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, you’ll have fluent written and verbal English. We’ll also expect you to be able to determine the risk-based maintenance techniques appropriate to meet operational requirements and equipment integrity. Job Type: Permanent Location: Qatar
