An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate with a flair for business development to help pioneer the work of GRACE – a £9m GNSS Research & Applications Centre of Excellence and to work at the forefront of the commercial development of Satellite Navigation systems promoting leading edge technology. GRACE has been set up by a strategic alliance between the University of Nottingham and the East Midlands Development Agency. Its aim is to establish the region as the UK’s centre of excellence in the development and commercialisation of GNSS technology, based on the world leading research and capabilities of the Institute of Engineering and Space Geodesy (IESSG) at the University. Working closely with the General Manager and dedicated technical support staff, the person appointed will promote GRACE to regional and national businesses. They will provide a front line service for GRACE with a particular focus on developing research collaborations and opportunities that will lead to new products and services and business opportunities. Candidates should be graduates or (equivalent) preferably in a GNSS related area, with some experience of GNSS/GPS products or services with an understanding of the business environment, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to match industrial needs in research and development.
