Applications are invited for the above post based in the University’s Research Innovation Services Department at the King’s Meadow Campus, Nottingham. The University of Nottingham is a research-driven institution with a leading international profile. Research Innovation Services (RIS) provides support, advice and guidance to the University’s research community. It also facilitates interaction between academics, research sponsors, and with business, regional and wider communities. The main focus of this role is to implement the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) objectives within the University’s Business Development Strategy, by promoting the programme to academic staff and prospective industry partners, and supporting the development of new and existing programmes with a primary focus within the Engineering Faculty. The Faculty supports 50% of the overall University of Nottingham KTP portfolio and subsequently this role is of great significance in the future development of KTP at the University. This role is also key to supporting the University’s knowledge transfer activities with the small business community and candidates must be confident in working with a variety of business and academic contacts. Candidates must be educated to degree level, have knowledge of HE operations, and in particular, the practical transfer of research outputs into industry, with significant relevant experience preferably with some direct experience of the KTP scheme.
