Finance Officer  [03/19/2010]



Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of Community Health Sciences. This post is an exciting opportunity to join the CLAHRC administrative team at the University of Nottingham. The person appointed will provide financial and administrative support to the CLAHRC-NDL as a whole, liaising with finance teams in the University of Nottingham and NHS partner Trusts.  They will assist the CLAHRC Manager/Head of Programmes in the provision of the full range of financial support services and reporting systems within the CLAHRC. This post will involve a range of duties including equipment booking/ordering, arranging meetings, administration of office procedures and systems and will also provide some general administrative support

Candidates should have five GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and mathematics. Also, candidates should have significant experience in a relevant secretarial/administrative role.  A proven expert ability with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel is essential.  Prior experience of working in an academic or NHS environment involved in research will be an advantage.

Hours of work are 29 per week, to be agreed. This post is available from 1 April 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2013.
