Technical - Installation of WAS V6 in Network Deploy configuration on HP-UX and Wintel Infrastructure
- Creation and support of pre-production and production environments
- Deployment of applications onto WAS infrastructure
- Troubleshoot Websphere Infrastructure issues.
- Provide support as required
- Follow and suggest improvements as appropriate to infrastructure and processes
- Support application development teams as appropriate
- TCP/IP connectivity Topology and ability to configure static and default routes
- Awareness of system and network security
- Appreciation of high availability concepts and architectures
- Beneficial; HP-OV; IBM MQ; HP Select Access
- Exposure to full project life cycle (design, tuning, implementation & DR).
- Ability to troubleshoot third party applications
- Current Professional accreditation(s) beneficial
The candidate would hold relevant certifications and demonstrate recent experience. System/Application delivery experience from within a large financial organisation is highly desirable. This is a third/forth line role and often the final point of escalation, therefore established knowledge for the technical discipline and awareness of others is expected.
