We are currently seeking to recruit an Instrument Technician for our new BP Maintenance contract in the Southern North Sea. This position is to be on the BP Ravenspurn North platform and associated satellites. The will be to work a 2on / 3off rota and is for an immediate start. Role and Responsibilities • Maintain all instrumentation controlling the Offshore Utility systems, Fire & Gas protection / detection, in a safe and competent manner. • Maintain the availability and operating condition of all platform instrumentation. • Install and commission new equipment as directed. • Work, or test/ fault find on low voltage instrumentation electrical equipment. • Identify improvements to Planned Maintenance Routines • Working within the statutory Health and Safety Procedures and the Permit-to-Work system. • Completing routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance. • Emergency response duties as defined by the Company’s Emergency Procedures and Station Bill. • Candidate must be willing to be a lifeboat coxswain and a member of the fire team, training will be provided.
Qualifications: • Educated to NVQ / SVQ or equivalent standard and completion of a recognised apprenticeship scheme • Should have pervious knowledge of ISSOW Permit to Work system • Some previous experience / knowledge in use of Maximo would be beneficial in the role (or similar CMMS system i.e. – SAP) • Good communication skills • Self motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiative • Use skills and experience to contribute to problem solving and improvements
