Team Leader Planning Obligations [04/26/2010] |

We are looking for an exceptional person to lead a small team of S106 officers. This team provides guidance on the negotiation of planning obligations and S106 agreements. They ensure that the impacts of development are addressed and sustainable development is delivered. The team also oversees the implementation of S106 agreements and the allocation of contributions to a wide range of environmental, regeneration and community projects. Maintaining close links with the Council’s Development Management Service and Legal Services and liaising with a wide range of other key stakeholders, within the Council and beyond, is a vital part of the role. The post holder will also be expected to provide guidance on the introduction of the Community Infrastructure Levy. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to further your career by leading a team that is involved in managing the interface between planning and regeneration. We are looking for someone who has extensive public or private sector experience of managing s106 agreements at a high level. You must be extremely well organised and financially aware. You should have exceptional negotiation and communication skills. You must be capable of leading your team through a period of change. Above all you should be committed to securing the best possible outcomes for people who live and work in the borough. The post is full time.
