This is a new post with a fixed term contract for one year working within the Client Financial Affairs team within Islington Social Services. This is an area that specialises in management of client monies where clients are no longer able to manage for themselves and carrying out the Authorities statutory duties under the 1848 National Assistance Act and 1984 Public Health Act. If you are someone that wants a new challenge in this area of work and can bring to the team your knowledge and expertise, you may be just the kind of person we are looking for. The successful candidate must • Have experience working with Deputyship under the Court of Protection, making applications to Court and liaising with care management • Have knowledge of Property Protection and the Benefit systems • The ability to liaise with internal and external partners • A clear understanding of financial regulations in relation to managing client own monies. • Knowledge and experience of using IT systems Client Financial Affairs Team within the Adult Social Services Department is vital to improving the quality of life of many Islington residents.
