In 2012, a major change in regulation is set to transform the world of insurance and reinsurance. Solvency II will provide a common approach across the EU when it comes to calculating the levels of capital required by insurers to settle potential claims.

Here at Legal & General – one of the UK’s leading financial services companies – we’re busy preparing for the new EU framework and are looking for people with strong actuarial backgrounds to join a pool of talent and help make the transition as smooth as possible.

The candidates will be a mixture of permanent and contract resource and will work from our Kingswood site in Surrey, with its attractive office and sports facilities but there may be some flexibility for occaisional work out of our London office. It’s also good to know that you’re part of a business with a strong commitment to the environment and recognised as a Platinum company in the 2008 Business in the Community Environment Index. We’re also committed to involvement in the community and invested over £3m in charitable activity last year.

QUALIFIED ACTUARIES – ICA/FINANCIAL REPORTING
with between one and six years’ PQE

QUALIFIED ACTUARIES – PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
with between two and six years’ PQE

PROJECT/PROGRAMME MANAGERS
with knowledge of actuarial systems

ACTUARIAL SYSTEMS DEVELOPERS
for major systems development; Prophet, Asset & Risk Modelling or Advanced Prophet ALS
