RiskMetrics Group is immediately seeking a I.T Support Engineer to work on our Corporate Technology team. The I.T Support Engineer will help out contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of the company's wan and lans supporting both internal office infrastructure as well as production services in multiple locations. Responsibilities: - Build and distribute pc’s and phone to users - Upgrade existing desktop equipment - Diagnose user and system related problems - Provide support, maintenance and troubleshooting of Blackberry devices - Set up new user account in the domain - Co-ordinate external printer support. - Inventory and order replacement toner for printers and faxes. - Monitor AV status, including up to date installs and outbreaks – escalate as necessary. - Monitor SIM reports – escalate as necessary - Monitor governance application processes – escalate as necessary - Provide application support to internal and external users. - Set up access to applications through SSOAdmin and Linux access - Monitor nagios alerts, troubleshoot and escalate as necessary - Monitor and complete service desk tickets - Ensure RMG standard policies and procedures are enforced and followed – escalate as necessary. Requirements: - Excellent customer service skills to handle customer inquiries through phone, email or Service Desk tickets - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must be detailed oriented to process system administration tasks, log, update or close requests, and generate documents as required - Must have good analytical and troubleshooting skills - Must possess good knowledge of TCP/IP, and networking concepts - Must have good understanding of desktop software such as Windows, Office, Anti-virus and PC hardware, and the interaction between the two to effectively troubleshoot any issues Qualifications/Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in an IT related course or at least 2-3 years equivalent IT related experience - Working knowledge of the following: Windows (2000 Pro, XP, Vista, 2000/2003 Server), Active Directory administration, Norton Anti-virus - Must have an experience in troubleshooting of PC’s, printers, user training and technical support. - Must be creative, strongly – analytical, flexible, self – motivated, team – player, honest and service – oriented. - Candidates must be willing to work under time pressure and minimal supervision.
