Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure new equipment is racked and cabled per scheduled dates. • Ensure servers are repaired in timely manner. • Ensure site is clean, well documented, and all work conforms to production standards. • Participate in supporting a 24 x 7 x 365 datacenter environment • Ability to support and manage multiple servers including Linux, Windows • Ability to work cross functionally in a positive and supportive manner. • Ability to develop, maintain and document processes, procedures and programs. • Ability to use good judgment in dealing with unforeseen issues that may arise. • Willingness to take on any task and drive it to completion. • Reliable work habits with excellent attendance. • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations calmly. • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and Holidays. • Ability to follow direction with minimal supervision. • Willing to work 10 hour shifts. • Willing to work Sun – Thu or Tue - Sat Requirements:
• 3+ years working in data center environment • 3+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing server technology • 3+ years in supporting Linux, Solaris, and Windows 2000/2003 operating systems and servers • 3+ years experience with server backups • Bachelor Degree or equivalent required in a related field • Technical Certifications a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Qualified candidates will be structured and team oriented. • Requires data processing experience, reading and writing of basic technical documents • Requires customer interface via phone, email, and internet • Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Federal government screening required.
