Hosting System Administrator [05/24/2010] |

This position is responsible for supporting multiple applications in an Enterprise environment with roughly 8000 users. The Hosting System Administrator will provide tier 2 and 3 Application Support to the Hosting Services and Hosting Operations teams. He/She will also handle configuration management with respect to the various hosted applications. Experience supporting environments running Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 is required. The applicant must demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills with interest to grow and develop professionally. This position is for someone eager to learn multiple skills in various aspects of technologies including applications, databases, and infrastructures. Job Responsibilities:
• Resolve issues, manage workload, and balance priorities through frequent interruptions while meeting specific, time sensitive deadlines • Resolve problems with professionalism and diplomacy • Analyze client team requests to determine needs and requirements with the ultimate goal of meeting client expectations • Engineer solutions to meet Autonomy’s SLA's and client expectations • Support and maintain applications in an Enterprise level environment • Assist in monitoring and tuning the environment through project initiatives, enhancements and integration Job Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology related major required • 3-5 years of experience in an information technology field preferred • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, 24x7, team oriented environment • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure while working with internal teams and occasionally end users • Eager to learn and embrace the different tools used in all areas of the environment (application, database, and infrastructure) • Discipline to follow implemented processes • Ability to propose needed process and/or procedures • Experience with Open Source Technologies (Java, Apache, JBOSS, postgresql) • Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows 2000, Windows 2003) • Experience with Microsoft SQL server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 • Ability to develop custom scripts with a wide variety of tools such as perl and korn shell • Experience with Unix/Linux is a plus • Experience with Microsoft Windows 2008 Server is a plus • Experience working in E-Discovery • Experience with Citrix is a plus • Experience with Microsoft Clustered servers is a plus • Experience working in a law firm with a litigation support product is a plus Job Type: Permanent Location: Massachusetts-Boston
