Position Summary:
As a Research Software Engineer at Autonomy, you will be challenged to deliver in a fast paced and dynamic engineering organization. As a member of a small team of research and development engineers you will work both independently and in teams developing a complex multimedia server application using such technologies as C/C++, J2EE, SQL, Struts, and XSLT. Successful candidate should have experience in all aspects of software development, including writing functional specifications, engineering design documents, conducting OO Analysis & Design, testing and debugging. Candidate must be comfortable working independently and as part of a group. In addition to the technical skills mentioned above, the successful candidate will have a proactive personality, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. on government contracts. Requirements:• Bachelor's degree or higher from a top-tier school in Computer Science required. • 5+ years of professional development experience building web applications. • Experience with several of the following languages required: C/C++, Java, J2EE, JMS, Struts, SQL, XSL/SXLT, Javascript, CSS, HTML, DOM, JUnit, Ant. • Experience wiht the following preferred: C# & .Net, PERL, JSF, SEAM, Hibernate EJB3, JPA, JTA, Spring, Facelets, Search/Indexing technologies, IDEA, Subversion, Sun Application Server 9/Glassfish, MySQL 5. • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
