The jobholder will produce Partnership quarterly expenditure analysis, assist in Baillie Gifford Overseas (“BGO”) and Baillie Gifford International (“BGI”) packages (quarter end secondment) and provide general assistance. To produce Joint Venture’s management and annual statutory accounts. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accruals/prepayments and produce quarterly expenditure analysis for Partnership. Daily management – administration and correspondence for Joint Venture.
Prepare VAT return and Corporate Tax Return for Joint Venture.
Prepare monthly packages for Joint Venture. Produce quarterly and annual packages for Joint Venture. Responsible for administration of property arrangements for UK offices, ie. rates, rent and general administration. Prepare quarter end packages for BGO and BGI (secondment first 10 working days of quarter end to BGO/BGI accounting team). Prepare ad hoc management reports as and when required. Assist in any ad hoc projects within the Accounting team and Finance Department.
General assistance and cover for Joint Venture as and when required. Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Applicants must be recently qualified accountants or qualified by experience Solid experience of accounts production essential Enthusiasm, self-motivation, ability to deliver results well in advance of deadlines, strong technical skills and accuracy/attention to detail are also essential attributes
Strong IT skills are required. Previous experience of Sun Accounts and MIS Alea would be desirable.
