This post requires a security clearance check Job Description1.The tool store operator is responsible for the daily operation of the Tool Stores, for the control of tools and test equipment and for maintaining the husbandry of the tools and test equipment. They will be responsible for checks of the Sqn Tool Stores at the start and end of their shift. 2.They are to value the contributions of all personnel, regardless of rank or different backgrounds, and to challenge or report any form of intimidation, harassment, bullying or abuse. 3.The post is as part of a 2 person team, working a day and late shift pattern rotating on a weekly basis. Working hours are a 5 day week on day shift (normally 0800-1630) and 4 extended evenings (normally 1630-0200) on late shift. Due to the operational nature of the Sqn, exact shift start and finish time may vary day to day. 4.On some occasions the tool store operator may be required to deploy with the Sqn, occasionally at short notice. 5.The role includes a considerable amount of manual handling and requires a good practical understanding of handtool and engineering terminology. 6.It would be desirable for the tool store operator to be able to drive and to be willing to obtain a Service licence. 7. A post requiremnt is that the successful applicant is fully proficient in all aspects of the English language.
