This is a unionized hourly position with shift rotation occurring every week. Under the direction of the plant Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems in the plant. III. Position Responsibilities (Expected Work) 1. Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner while keeping the work area clean and sanitary. 2. Performs electrical preventive maintenance routines on equipment in all areas of the plant to minimize breakdowns. 3. Performs breakdown analysis on electrical failures and develop and implement counter measures to prevent reoccurrence. 4. Performs corrective maintenance implement improvements on the equipment to improve reliability and extend service life. 5. Completing all assigned SHEQ (green) and Maintenance(Red) F-tag and supporting AM teams to achieve step targets. 6. Work with the maintenance planner to develop job scope and parts requirements on assigned projects. 7. Work with the plant CMMS to input work request and spare parts reservation. 8. Participate in weekend work assignments as the need arises. IV. Challenges 1. Working within a unionized environment and managing relationships to deliver high performance and cost effectiveness. 2. Dexterity - climbing ladders, catwalks and scaffolds, in the performance of maintenance duties. 3. Ability to think on feet given the factory complexity, speed and automation. 1. Operational efficiency for the processing (Mix and Noodle room) and packaging areas. 2. The maintenance cost for the entire factory. 3. Employee morale - shift rotation, weekend assignments as per the plant maintenance schedule. VI. Skills & Competencies Please indicate the minimum skills and competencies required to capably perform in the position. Knowledge Education High School / College graduate. Experience 3 - 5 years experience in the performing maintenance work in a unionzed high speed packaging environment. Skills Specific Training PLC programming and troubleshooting - Allen Bradley family, Siemens, Omron Motion Control- Allen Bradley-RS view/Bosch -Indramat Excellent written and verbal skills. Certification Licensed Electrician in the Province of Ontario /Licensed Millwright(an asset) Competencies Team Alignment Be aligned with maintenance team goals and objectives.
