Description of Essential Job Functions: - Recruit, educate, motivate, develop and lead employees
- Hire, develop, review, supervise, discipline and manage direct report talent.
- Ensure proper staffing and needed resources are in place or available at all service centers
- Communicate company values and objectives to all employees directly and through managers; maintain visibility and accessibility to employees
- Maximize employee engagement and communicate with employees at all levels of the company
- Embrace and educate employees on Lean Six Sigma as the process improvement guideline.
- Analyze and review operational activities regularly with Service Center Managers to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, work processes and customer service. L. Collaborate with staff to develop process improvement/solutions.
- Ensure employees are provided a clean, safe working environment
- Communicate with customers, service center personnel, and Account Executives(s) to ensure customer and company objectives are achieved
- Assist Account Executives and/or make sales calls to potential and existing customers to grow revenue
- Review, monitor and manage human resource processes
- Interact with all levels of management to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Communicate department and company policies and procedures to field personnel
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations and company policies/procedures
- Frequent travel to responsible facilities.
- Perform other duties as required

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.)
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred
- Lean / Six Sigma background preferred
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Strategic planning capabilities to develop short and long term business improvement plans
- Ability to track expenditures for budget review
- Frequent overnight travel .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (documentation, interaction with all levels in the organization, etc.)
- Proven leadership, decision making and interpersonal skills, e.g. conflict resolution
- Must be multi-task oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations; Operations/Line Haul environment regulations; Federal Motor Carrier Safety Requirements
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
- Valid drivers license
- Valid Passport or the ability to obtain a passport - as travel may be required into Canada
