Bank Reconcilliations Executive - Dublin [01/13/2010] |

The main responsibility is to undertake the bank reconciliation of a variety of currency account reconciliations, combined with several specific accounting tasks, as well as providing information to support the credit and collections department and providing information to support subsidiaries and (assistant) financial controllers. Key Responsibilities: Performing on a monthly basis the reconciliation of all bank accounts for a number of business streams (approx 40 accounts with variable levels of transactions) Resolving internal/external queries in a timely, SOX compliant and professional manner Booking of monthly journals and other ad hoc journals - Bank Charges, Interest, FX Differences etc Participating in cross-functional teams to resolve business/process issues Supplying consistently accurate information to all inter-dependent groups (primarily the subsidiaries), adhering to strict client deadlines and SOX processes Provide expertise/support to any information requests from either the credit and collections department or the clients finance groups regarding reconciling items Participating in various project works as deemed necessary - SOX etc. Flexibility around working hours required during client specified key periods (month end) Any other duties deemed appropriate by either Accenture or the client
Education and Experience
- Part-qualified accountant or accounting technician with 1-2 years experience in an accounting or large company environment.
- Previous work experience in a Bank Reconciliation function would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Analytical approach / good problem solving skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of SAP an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
