Data Processing covers both the preparation of data capture scripts and the consolidation of data into usable formats for client service and/or clients. The department uses MB tools and software to meet these needs. Key responsibilities. The Data Processing Executive is responsible for: General - Understanding the market research process
- Understanding the fit of data processing within the company
- The role of coding and the techniques of coding
- The role of data entry and the techniques and software used
- The various processes used in data processing
The Data Processing Executive will have competency in the following key responsibilities with limited supervision. - To work with DC and PM to ensure the smooth flow of projects
- Be able to advise on the timing of processes
- Manipulation and output of data using the Quantum analysis package
- Use of other associated software tools and general programming techniques
- Preparation of Quanvert databases
- Charting using the Ming software
- Demonstrated knowledge of modelling
- Data & Table preparation using SPSS
Personal skills/key competencies It is essential that the Data Processing Executive: - display a strong attention to detail providing timely and accurate output
- be able to coordinate a number of projects at any one time
- be able to work closely with other Data Processing staff to ensure that timelines are met
- have the ability to think of and be open to new ideas and ways of doing things
The Data Processing Executive should also have the following attributes:- - University or college degree (mathematical/statistical focus preferred)
- Minimum of 12 months experience in an analytical role
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong analytical and deductive skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability for self training and willingness to learn independently
