The Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Local Education Partnership is an independent company established in partnership with Balfour Beatty Education and Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Councils. The LEP will deliver a range of services within the two authorities including the design, construction and operation of secondary school facilities as well as deliver an ICT managed service to secondary schools across the two Councils. In addition the LEP will work with the Councils to support schools to implement integrated change management plans that will lead to improved outcomes for children, young people and the wider community.
The following post is a secondment to the Local Education Partnership lasting approximately 2 years with potential for extension, 37 hours per week. Please note, this post is not suitable for secondments for employees from schools who wish to remain on teachers’ pay and conditions.

The LEP team will be co-located with the BSF Programme Team which is currently based at Innovation Centre, Evolution Park, Shadsworth Road, Blackburn.
The Local Education Partnership has committed to delivering a wide range of regeneration and economic benefits over its 10 year lifespan. These include learning and skills opportunities for young people and adults, local supply chain benefits and maximising the investment of BSF spend within Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton. As a demonstration of its commitment the Balfour Beatty has agreed to fully fund the appointment of a LEP Regeneration and Economic Benefits Manager.
This post will play a key role in developing, coordinating and managing the LEP’s regeneration and economic benefits implementation plan. This will involve working across the two Councils and working with a range of existing regeneration, employment and skills, and 14 -19 partner agencies.
