Overall responsibility: The Group Account Director Qualitative (GAD) has overall responsibility for the management of his or her team, the financial health of the team budgets and the maintenance of healthy and profitable client relationships. He or she is part of the management team for the office. RESPONSIBILITIES People Leadership Oversees the recruitment of staff Drives qualitative training programs and activities within the office Ensures training and career development of staff Acts as an advisor and source of technical advice to members of his/her team or office Represents Millward Brown at professional functions and activities
Client Leadership Oversees all relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are being met and that they are receiving appropriate levels of service Accountable for client relationships and satisfaction; builds strong rapport and trust; raises client expectations Involvement with client/research projects as necessary, including interpretation, development of recommendations, presentation of findings Consistently demonstrates a high level of marketing knowledge and applies to successfully forge strong working relationships with clients (advertising knowledge for agency) New business development amongst existing clients and identification and development of new business opportunities outside the existing client base Acts as a champion for specific quallitative tools/techniques Works with global Millward Brown qualitative team and with MB Firefly within the region on global initiatives and products and the implementation of best practice in the team
Business Leadership Leads and manages an entire CS team to meet operational and financial targets, including: Overall quality and profitability of the services provided by the team Management and control of revenue budgets set for his or her team or office, estimate and plan budgets, resources and profitability of projects and clients. Able to manage P&L Is able to write successful proposals and win pitches
Thought Leadership Develops appropriate and innovative research designs (in line with global qualitative initiatives); provides insights to all stages from proposal preparation, design, survey study methods and report write-ups Drives company development, such as new approaches, improvements to company efficiencies MB Qualitative Tools & Techniques – has strong understanding knowledge, but more importantly the ability to transform tools to make an insightful and memorable imprint on the organization
Required Experience/Skills: More than 8 years experience in Client Service Proven marketing (research) knowledge Strong skills in leadership and team management, including significant understanding and experience in staff development Strong business/commercial acumen and experience in P&L management Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and develop business Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills Fluency (verbal and written) in English essential Cultural awareness Job Type: Permanent Location: Australia New South Wales - Mid North Coast
