Field Sales Executive (Northamptonshire to North London region)  [12/30/2009]

***The Role***


We’re looking for a bright, driven and commercially aware individual of graduate calibre who is looking to build their career in the FMCG arena.

As part of our Cash & Carry Field Sales team you will be personally responsible for your own territory and work autonomously, whilst benefiting from excellent support from both your Line Manager and Head Office. You’ll cover a large territory in the UK and will maximize business performance by providing ongoing, exceptional account management skills. Once you’ve demonstrated superior performance out in the field, we would expect you to progress to account management or category development within our head office in Cheltenham.


***You will have the opportunity to***:


- Develop your commercial acumen and sales capabilities.


- Implement and develop sales strategies in the Cash & Carry outlets within your territory.


- Ensure exceptional in-store execution of plans in relation to range, space, display, promotions and new product development.


- Provide proactive feedback & communication to all Customer Managers.


- Arrange quarterly Account Business reviews for your prime accounts involving your Line Manager & Customer Manager.


- Attend trade shows/ exhibitions as required.


- Use customer databases to identify distribution opportunities at retail level.


- Create Area plans each period and monitor and report back on the results.


- Manage Demonstrators to work for you in Cash & Carry outlets to gain maximum distribution of our Core Ranges.

***Competencies***


A highly driven and motivated individual, you will demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Planning, Organising and Time Management will also be critical to your success in this role. Therefore you will be able to effectively retain customer focus and manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing, busy and fast moving environment.

As well as demonstrating career ambition you will also be naturally creativity and enjoy proactively coming up with new ideas and approaches. You will have a general understanding of the food and beverage industry and the Cash & Carry sector; as well as understanding of profit & loss, merchandising and promotion mechanics. This understanding will underpin your ability to negotiate and influence people at all levels.

A full clean driving license and the facility to work from home are essential. In addition you will need to be geographically flexible, 100% willing to travel and do overnight stays where required.
