As a member of the Actuarial Development Program (ADP), one will get a broad exposure to the various operating areas within OCFO through a series of one-year job assignments. In addition, with support from the ADP, one is expected to complete (within a given timeframe) the actuarial exams leading to Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries. A member of the ADP can expect to apply his/her mathematical skills to solving business problems in the insurance industry. Depending on the particular rotation, the member can assist in a range of assignments such as: developing new life or annuity products, projecting results for the company's financial plan, pricing reinsurance deals, and analyzing and improving the profitability of the in force. Job Requirements: Strong math and communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to new situations. Ability to think creatively, to express thoughts clearly, and to work effectively with others. High academic standing with coursework in math, probability and statistics, computer science and economics. Strong preference given to candidates who passed at least one actuarial exam.
