Fixed term contract until 31 March 2011 (subject to review) The Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership is a forward thinking countywide partnership, and we are looking for a Health and Physical Activity Project Officer to develop and lead initiatives to encourage more people to be more active, more often. Working in partnership with a variety of organisations (including the local PCTs) you will be an advocate to promote the benefits of physical activity and support the provision of a diverse range of programmes and activities to increase levels of physical activity among adults in Hertfordshire. You must have experience of developing, coordinating and promoting physical activity programmes for adults in a community environment and be able to attract external funding. You will hold a current driving licence (and have access to a car) and ideally have a relevant qualification. Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills are essential. You will be based at the Hertfordshire Sports Village where the partnership is hosted by the University of Hertfordshire. Job Type: Permanent Location: France Alsace
