- Ensure business plans related to the achievement of sales targets are developed and actioned.
- Ensure there is appropriate sales resource in the store through active recruitment in line with wage budget.
· Ensure staff are trained & coached in the appropriate sales approach in order that they can contribute to the achievement of Store sales targets and the delivery of high levels of customer service. · Ensure all staff are appraised annually. - Work with Territory Sales Managers to implemented sales improvement actions identified through performance analysis (e.g ISIS, Mystery Shopper, etc).
- Conduct disciplinary and grievance hearings where appropriate.
- Ensure new promotions are implemented in accordance with Retail Management guidance.
- Ensure that all emergency incidents and operational problems are dealt with effectively including the contacting of the appropriate people when necessary
- Participate in and lead store meetings in order to review, communicate, direct activities and gather staff feedback
- Ensure stock is at optimal levels.
- To undertake any other duties deemed relevant to the role and as directed by the Territory Manager.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT · The role operates within a fast paced retail environment focusing on sales. The Store Manager will work with a Deputy Manager who will be responsible for all compliance related issues. · The Store Manager will work to and with a Territory Manager who will provide guidance and support to ensure sales targets are achieved. · The Store Manager will focus on sales revenue enabled by products and promotions defined by Retail Management. ACCOUNTABILITIES - To ensure the store is merchandised according to all defined standards (e.g planograms)
