Duration: Fixed Term - Maternity Leave Approx 6 Months South Lanarkshire Leisure, in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, has established a significant commitment to improving the health and fitness levels of local residents.Based in Cambuslang and Rutherglen, you will be a dynamic, hardworking and innovative individual to join our committed sport and leisure team.
You will have teaching/coaching qualifications in exercise and the principles of physiology, fitness and training. A related qualification in sports science or a similar field and/or previous experience of a GP exercise referral scheme would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential that you hold: A minimum of Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification An Exercise Referral Qualification and have a minimum of 3 years health and fitness industry. experience. Ideally you will have had previous experience in leading exercise consultations and working in partnership with other agencies. This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. You will be subject to a criminal records check provided through Disclosure Scotland.
