The Job The Building Standards Surveyor is responsible through the Building Standards Manager, for contributing to the delivery of the building standards service to the Council and the people of Shetland in accordance with the Building (Scotland) Act and the Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations.
| - Three years relevant expereince gained in Building Standards or similar technical / legislative function
- SVQ5 / BSc degree in relevant discipline such as Building Control, Surveying or Building Construction
- Comprehensive working knowledge of building standards legislation and procedures
- Corporate membership of a professional institution such as ABE, CIOB, or RICS

- The post carries an Essential Car User allowance and you must have a current driving license and a suitable vehicle to use during your employment.
