Assistant Sport Development Coordinator (2 year fixed term contract, term time only) We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help co-ordinate and deliver the Sports Development Unit's community programme. The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering a range of student and community focused initiatives. You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a member of a supportive and experienced team. You will liaise with outside agencies including schools, local authorities, sports clubs and national governing bodies of sport. As such, you will need to be a dynamic individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. In addition, you will become involved in all aspects of the Department's work including summer school, community coaching, football academy and the coach education unit. Applicants must have a degree or professional qualification in a sports related area, and have knowledge and experience of sport development, coaching and working in a sports environment. This post involves access to children and the appointment will be subject to an enhanced CRB check. You will be expected to work some unsociable hours in order to deliver the Sport Development Unit's objectives. Job Type: Permanent Location: Iraq Thi-Qar
