APPOINTMENT OF CLERK TO THE COUNCIL - 37 hour week. We seek a successor to the current Town Clerk who retires in 2010 Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, to include 24 meetings of the Council. Start date April 2010. If you have a genuine interest in helping the Council to deliver quality and innovative services to the local community and work towards Quality Status this is the ideal post. Amongst the range of responsibilities you will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed and all Council meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, you will bring sound management, administrative, communication and organisational skills. Flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines, knowledge or experience of public sector and/or local government administration is desirable.
