Birchills is a caring school with a strong commitment to high standards and we wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our successful team at this popular multi-ethnic school. The post is linked to an individual pupil and the successful candidate will support this visually impaired child for 4 mornings and 1 afternoon session each week. It is essential that you have a good understanding of child development with excellent literacy and numeracy skills. NVQ Level 2 is required for this post. RML and previous experience of working in a primary school would be advantageous but not essential.
