We are looking for a full time, temporary, motivated and proactive individual to become part of the revenues enforcement team based in the civic centre. As an enforcement assistant you will be responsible for the collection of unpaid council tax debt. Your role will include: Targeting historical council tax debt with a minimum collection level of £70,000 to be achieved within that fixed term. Providing a holistic approach to customers with multiple debt/arrears, dealing with customer and other stakeholder enquiries and giving them advice, information and assistance.Assisting in delivering front line services for visitors and telephone callers requiring advice, assistance and information about council tax. Providing a progressive and responsive service to customers. With a good knowledge of council tax legislation and procedures, you will have a proven track record in a debt collection environment and the ability to communicate effectively both in person and in writing. You will also have the ability to use new technology and be able to work under pressure
