Duties:Responsible for the Administration of Network Security, Firewall Administration, Security Incident Response, Patch Management and assist in the development of all Network Security Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for the review and submittal to ITD of all Public Access Architecture Reviews.
Responsible for the creation of Active Directory Security Policies, Login Scripts and Groups.
Responsible for Firewall Administration approval and submittal to ITD and management of Agency Firewalls.
Responsible for Email Administration.
Responsible for Security Incident reporting and handling.
Responsible for the administration and rollout of Endpoint Encryption Tools.
Responsible for the coordination of server hardening.
Responsible for the development and implementation and monitoring of a Patch Management Program.
Responsible for the review and submittal of Variance Requests to ITD.
Responsible for the submittal of DNS, IP Address, and VPN Group requests to ITD.
Responsible for the development of device baseline security configurations.
Responsible for Network Auditing and compliance monitoring.
Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of a Patch Management Program.
Responsible for the timely, accurate and courteous delivery of security services to Agency, Secretariat and Non Secretariat Staff.
Assumes personal responsibility to assure that all unit business is conducted in a professional and cooperative manner.
Responsible to keep customers informed on the status of their request and to assure customer satisfaction.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all user accounts, groups, login scripts and access rights to all Network Servers.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all user accounts for remote access.
Responsible for the support and administration of security access to all Remote Sites and Central Offices PC’s, Printers, and Pe-ripherals related to LAN hardware and software.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the security inventory and maintenance of security records.
Responsible for Network Operating Systems security monitoring.
Assists in the design and testing of security systems to accommodate user needs and makes changes to systems or programs to im-prove performance and to ensure compliance with security standards.
Assists in the training of personal in security procedures.
Assists in the development, maintenance, issuance and monitoring of security standards and procedures by reviewing State/Federal regulations.
Responsible to communicate all system security related issues to Agency, Secretariat, or Non Secretariat staff through channels set forth by the Unit Manager.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting to the Unit Manager of any actual or potential breach in Security.
Create and maintain statistical and narrative security reports and prepare reports for audit requests.
Enforce confidentiality policy and security standards.
Perform as the liaison for systems security related issues between Remote Sites, Central Office, and IT Operations Services as well as with computer center personnel.
Acts as a consultant to users on such matters as computer-augmented or business-oriented instructions, validity of programs and as-sesses user’s security needs.
Acts as a consultant to data processing personnel of other Agencies or Departments determines suitability of Agency and Secretariat programs or systems to meet specific needs and gives general advice and direction to staff.
Responsible for the trouble shooting and escalation through appropriate channels of all systems security related issues/problems.
Assume personal responsibility to maintain technical proficiency.
Responsible to perform related duties as required.
Qualifications:Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in electronic data processing of which (B) at least two years must have been in work in which the major duties included computer systems analysis, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
I. An Associate's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
II. A Bachelor's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
III. A Graduate degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two year full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or vocational/technical school above the high school level with a major in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
V. An official transcript from a recognized business or vocational/ technical school as evidence of completion of a program consisting of at least 650 hours of instruction in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
VI. Graduation from the data processing course of a recognized vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
*Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for more than two years of the required (A) experience.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for the two years of the required (B) experience.
