Duties:REPOST
To direct, coordinate and lead the total functioning of the Plymouth Area Office for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission including: planning, staffing, budget preparation and management, contract oversight and management. Delegate responsibility, monitor work, anticipate and resolve issues relating to services, consumers and staff. Ensure the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services by selecting, training, developing and evaluating staff. Communicate with the public regarding the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission's programs, operating parameters and service needs of the Plymouth area. Interface and collaborate with local employers, public and private institutions/organizations in order to maintain, create and expand services. The Plymouth Area Office is managed in accordance with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission's mission, which is to provide services that maximize the quality of life and economic self-sufficiency for persons with disabilities. The goal of the Plymouth Office is to assist eligible disabled consumers to obtain or retain competitive employment. Qualifications:MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, supervisory or managerial experience in business administration, business management, or public administration.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: None. Preferred Qualifications:1. Skilled in managing, directing and motivating people.
2. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
3. Proved ability and technical knowledge in planning, coordinating & prioritizing for optimal performance.
4. Ability to evaluate, monitor and set standards for accomplishment.
5. Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
6. Ability to resolve/mediate conflicts.
7. Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation policy and procedure.
8. Advanced degree with the minimum of 5 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or related field with increasing responsibility over time including supervisory or managerial responsibility.
