Administrative Co Ordinator  [01/28/2010]




MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide administrative, marketing and events  support to the Children’s Trust Unit, with an emphasis on supporting the new Family Intervention Project (FIP) .  The trust unit supports the work of Yor OK – Working Together with Children, Young People and Families – the local children’s trust.  Staff attached to the unit carry responsibility for planning and commissioning across a wide range of children, young people and family services.  The post-holder will support a range of activities including organising and supporting meetings and other events, promotion and marketing, and preparation of reports.  The post holder will be expected to pay due regard at all times to the Council’s stated policies relating to customer service and equal and fair treatment for all customers and employees. 

  

To provide a comprehensive, confidential and efficient administrative and secretarial service to the members of the children’s trust unit including composition and transcription of correspondence and the production of a variety of documents including formal reports.

 

To support team planning through coordination of diaries and work planning systems and to take the lead on small projects.  

General office duties including absence recording, ordering stationery, books and publications and developing and implementing effective office systems including meeting corporate reporting requirements.

To provide basic support to the YorOK Child Index. This involves:

·         Receiving calls, completing basic Index checks and recording contact;f
·         Providing information to practitioners and managers from all partner agencies about the involvement of services to vulnerable children and young people in the City;
·         Signposting on to appropriate agencies / services as appropriate;
