You’ll be working for our Niche Services Division – supporting customers to whom we supply a range of specialist FM services including mailroom solutions, archiving, records management and print management services.
Working within a small team, you’ll provide a professional mail and facilities service in line with customer contract requirements. This is a multi-skilled role covering four key service lines and you’ll be cross-trained to work on all of these as directed. The role also entails a small amount of programming of Document Composition and other production systems.
Mail Your main aim will be to sort inbound mail and ensure it is prepared for scanning. You’ll run the automatic mailing machine; ensuring mailing integrity and quality is maintained ensuring pages are inserted correctly, and provide first level maintenance as necessary. You’ll also assist with the management of courier items, including receiving, logging, delivery, and sorting, help keep the production room clean and tidy, maintain stock levels and log activity data. You’ll also provide a reprographics service to internal and external clients, copying documents, creating presentation or workbooks and training manuals.
Print You’ll receive data to the print queue, validate the print for quality and correctness and produce documents in accordance with work instructions, customer requirements and service level agreements. You’ll also manage stocks and consumables effectively and maintain activity records. You will also work within the systems that create the data; this will involve writing code to maintain the data and the output.
Scanning You’ll prepare incoming mail and documentation to agreed standards and scan documents as required, ensuring quality, integrity and production requirements are met. The documents are sorted and scanned to a workflow system. You’ll also ensure that the correct software systems and processes are used and collate essential management information.
Programming You’ll assist in maintaining and creation of Document Composition programmes and provide first-line support to the Production Manager to resolve issues. You’ll also assist in the development of programmes to integrate data into single print production runs, provide helpdesk, design and support services to our web systems.
Please note: Contracted hours are 40 hours /week flexible between 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday; occasional shift work may be required.

To succeed in this role you will need the following: - Understanding of Reprographics, Scanning and Output desirable
- Knowledge of computer systems and some programming experience
- Have a high regard for quality and Customer Service
- A proactive, courteous and positive attitude to clients
- PC literate (Windows and Office products)
- Willingness and ability to be cross trained and proactively source new work
- Strong attention to detail to ensure processes are appropriate, correct and measured
- Ability to integrate into a committed, friendly team
- Willingness to use initiative in the day to day running of the section
