With over 1200 branches we are constantly on the move - expanding our network and improving our services to customers We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Global Sourcing Project Manager to join our Global Sourcing team based at our Head Office in Northampton. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To define, develop and implement the TP group “Own Brand” product proposition for a specific product area, which maximises cost savings from Global Sourcing. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Accountable for the interpretation and consolidation of the group “Own Brand” strategies into one agreed proposition for that product area and responsibility for successfully bringing new and replacement product ranges from low cost countries to the TP Group. • Accountable for tendering and re-sourcing c. £100m purchases per year. • Accountable for delivering a minimum of £1.5m incremental profit per annum on an annualised basis. • Accountable for gaining agreement of projects up to and including the Chief Operating Officer. • To establish and maintain effective relationships with all project stakeholders to establish a common agreed proposition across the group. To closely liaise with Product Managers / Buyers and key stakeholders to ensure each project is fully understood and achieve support of respective department heads to ensure adherence to the strategy and smooth implementation. • To manage and control the variables of each project entirely to ensure that agreed timescales and cost savings are adhered. To ensure manage any / all risks associated with each project and follow each project through to implementation. • To assess projects post implementation and continue annual benchmarking exercises on ranges to ensure that the competitive level of the supplier is understood by all parties. • To proactively identify development opportunities for Global Sourcing and bring to the attention of the Global Sourcing Director. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Educated to degree level At least 2 years experience in a retail/merchant trading role with some experience of range development Excellent communication skills.
