We have opportunities in Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources, and many other areas that work behind the scenes in support of the Partners mission. |  | Job Description |  | Incumbent will report to a corporate manager, MGH Clinical Systems, on the Provider Order Entry (POE) / Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) team. Work responsibilities include the I.S. analytical efforts to enhance and support POE, eMAR and related systems used by clinical staff for the delivery of patient care, the management of small to medium projects and/or large sub-projects, and providing direct customer support on an ongoing basis. Work closely with clinicians and hospital management to define business requirements, develop project approach, scope and implementation plan to meet both system and operational objectives. Develop IT strategies and solutions that comply with Partners IS standards and strategic directions. Work with technical team to define and document all interface/integration points and develop detailed plans for acceptance testing. Plan, manage and over-see project, utilizing recognized project management methodology including activities such as: ¿ Definition of project scope and objectives ¿ Conduct regular project status meetings and document status reports for distribution ¿ Workflow and Data Analysis ¿ Functional requirements definition ¿ System testing/quality assurance ¿ User Training ¿ Interface/Integration Testing ¿ Implementation support ¿ Post-implementation/on-going support ¿ Feasibility and Cost/Benefit Studies ¿ Documentation Participate in and manage IS projects within the context of the larger environment including competing priorities, staffing levels, budgetary concerns. Provide appropriate and timely problem escalation reporting (and potential solutions if applicable) to IS management. Provide on-going project status reports both to internal IS management, user groups, and project steering committees. Assign/delegate project assignments as appropriate. Provide project-specific direction and guidance to project team members to facilitate timely and quality results. Monitor quality of work performed by team members throughout the project lifecycle. Establish and create a positive project team environment through leadership and communication. Provide 24x7 support to clinical users to ensure appropriate and timely responses to all issues. Function both as an individual contributor and team player within Partners IS and the hospital community at large. Provide quality customer service and serve as an exemplary representative of Partners Information Systems. On-going communication, feedback and follow-through with customers/peers are essential. |  | Qualifications |  | Bachelor Degree required Current registration in nursing or a related clinical specialty desirable, but not required 5 years experience in a relevant role required Strong project management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people from all organizational levels and build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy. Ability to understand the inpatient clinical work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with developing/meeting project goals. Ability to manage a project, its dependencies, team members, other resources and timeline; and to prioritize and delegate accordingly. Strong PC skills required, knowledge of PC applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint preferred. Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-site environment. ***Working Conditions*** Office environment with travel to patient care areas (may require travel); limited patient contact. On-call support as assigned (includes evenings, nights, weekends and holidays). Must be able to provide adequate transportation between work locations. As projects and priorities dictate, must be available to work non-standard hours such as evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. ***Supervisory Responsibility*** At the project level, responsible for assigning work to project team members, providing guidance and direction, and ensuring the timeliness and quality of work delivered by project team members.
