Healthcare regulation is about raising standards for patients. At the forefront of the HFEA is its inspection and assessment function. The Director of Compliance leads this Directorate. The HFEA has been through an extensive programme of organisational change over the last 18 months. As Director of Compliance you will lead and continue to develop the compliance function of the HFEA. As part of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Chief Executive, you will also play a leadership role in all corporate management activities as well as interacting with our Authority members. You will directly line manage senior staff across the directorate, ensuring that the key processes and tools across all regulatory activities that promote compliance by HFEA stakeholders continue to embed and improve. Key Responsibilities • Ensure the HFEA’s inspection and regulation functions fully support end to end compliance • Play a leadership role at the corporate and Directorate level • Lead the Inspection, Clinical Governance, Research Regulation, Business Support and Operational Audit functions and directly line manage the senior staff within these teams • Establish the processes and tools to ensure appropriate working relationships are maintained with clinics and research centres • Ensure the HFEA actively monitors and promotes clinical governance and improvement • Ensure Directorate collaborates across the HFEA to collate information required for compliance processes effectively • Establish processes and tools across all regulatory activities that promote compliance by HFEA stakeholders • Supporting the Chief Executive in his duties as accounting officer • Ensure the HFEA’s inspection and regulation functions fully support end to end compliance • Play a leadership role at the corporate and Directorate level • Lead the Inspection and Clinical Governance, Research Regulation, Business Support and Operational Audit functions and directly line manage the senior staff within these teams • Establish the processes and tools to ensure appropriate working relationships are maintained with clinics and research centres • Ensure the HFEA actively monitors and promotes clinical governance and improvement • Ensure Directorate collaborates across the HFEA to collate information required for compliance processes effectively across the HFEA to support itself and other Directors • Establish processes and tools across all regulatory activities that promote compliance by HFEA stakeholders
