We are currently looking to recruit talented, experienced IT Professionals to join our IT Department in the role of Project Manager, you will be based at our Head Office in Northampton.
Our Project Managers manage the development & maintenance of our systems and play a key role in ensuring business goals and strategy are fully supported.
Key Performance Areas
• Liaise with user departments at all levels. • Manage user expectations and issues arising out of exceptional circumstances or delays within the project plans whilst in turn promoting good working relationships. • Identify appropriate solutions for business needs and develop software to agreed plans. • Review, analyse, support, modify and develop systems / software on concurrent projects of various sizes, including maintenance activities. • Prepare and maintain detailed plans and resource estimates for assigned projects. • Ensure compliance, accuracy and sustainability of solutions developed and ensure that they are tested to standard, documented and that appropriate acceptance testing is carried out by users. • Manage and progress system maintenance activities, ensuring change requests and minor enhancements are moved forward in a timely fashion. • Schedule and organise work plans for assigned team. • Motivate, supervise and develop assigned colleagues so as to maximise efficiency and develop their potential. Carry out performance reviews and identify training needs. • Assist and support the Development Manager e.g. to provide cover across the teams re customer service, escalation of issues etc.
You will need extensive practical experience of software development tools and programming languages though full life cycle development within a commercial environment. You will also have solid project management skills with the ability to convert high level requirements into design options, and the passion and enthusiasm to motivate and lead a team.
