The 5* Lowry Hotel is recruiting for the exciting role of Head Concierge. The role involves being an active member of the hotel management team, ensuring that the concierge department runs seamlessly and providing and efficient level of five star services to all guests.

The main duties of the role entail:
 Overseeing the daily operation of the Concierge Department ensuring that attention to detail is apparent and that guests receive high standards of service in line with RF Hotels Standards of Performance
 Assisting in the preparation and implementation of the Concierge departmental budget
 Managing all elements of guest services for the guests, including theatres, restaurants, local attractions, booking taxis, tours and car hires
 Ensuring that that guest luggage service is carried out promptly and efficiently and that luggage is safely stored for returning guests and an accurate record of this is kept
 Ensuring that the hotel Lobby, lifts, main entrance and car park areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
 Dealing with all guest mail, correspondence and ensuring accurate information is displayed for all guests
 Manage the parking of guest cars via the valet service - ensuring that car keys are kept secure and accurate records concerning them are maintained at all times
 Ensuring that all knowledge of all hotel facilities is accurate & updated regularly
 Ensuring that all team are aware of activities in Manchester including concerts, local events & new openings
 Overseeing the daily operation of the Concierge with a high level of service & attention to detail
 Handling all guests’ inquiries whether in person, on the phone, or by email in a polite courteous and informative manner.
 Providing a high level of security awareness of all persons entering & exiting the building
 Attend planned training programmes and ensure that you actively develop & train team
 Conduct all forecasting, completion of rotas & accurately record hours on timesheets
 Actively be involved with all management responsibilities & reasonable requests from Hotel Management

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Manchester City Centre and a proactive and conscientious outlook, with a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude, where five-star service is paramount. You will also possess a full driving licence, as the role requires a full valet service to be provided.

This role requires an active role within the management team and will include attendance at daily/weekly meetings, monitoring budgets, and attending the profit and loss review in the absence of the manager. The role will involve Duty Management shifts within the hotel.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional approach and demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You must have excellent organisational skills and previous experience in a management role within Concierge is essential.
Flexibility in this role is required as the hours of work are on a shift basis including weekends, early & late shift. The earliest start will be 6.30am and the latest finish will be 11.30pm business permitting.
