As well as having an outstanding knowledge of frames and lenses, we're looking for Dispensing Opticians with a talent to lead and motivate their team.
You should be willing and able to come up with fresh ideas, ensuring your department delivers commercially. This includes engaging with customers in the store and raising the profile of your business in your local community.
You should be passionate about providing customers with the best possible optical products at great value and be able to train, coach and motivate your colleagues to do the same. • You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Optical Department i.e. planning and organising eye test and contact lens clinics to ensure they operate efficiently and with customers needs in mind.
• You will be responsible for the dispensing service to ensure that customers receive the best optical products for their needs and are that they are dispensed legally.
• You will also be responsible for training and coaching colleagues. • You must be registered with the General Optical Council as a fully qualified Dispensing Optician and be on track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continued Education & Training (CET).
