We are looking for talented individuals to provide programming, image processing and software development expertise on various contracts for our growing Professional Services Group. This job employs image processing and data visualization techniques, and implements algorithms, to support data exploitation and tool development. The person in this position must be a proficient programmer and able to apply analysis techniques to a variety of phenomenologies including spectral, panchromatic, SAR and lidar. This position is with the ITT Visual Information Solutions Professional Services Group in Herndon, VA. The primary work location is the ITT office in Herndon, VA and includes assignments at customer locations in the Washington, D.C. area. Additional travel to support customer projects and programs is expected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Required Minimum Skills and Qualifications Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Geography, Science or Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of experience with image processing, data visualization or software development Demonstrable programming skills using C, C++, JAVA, MATLAB or other relevant computer languages Knowledge of current image processing and visualization software packages Desired Skills: Advanced skill in IDL programming, optimization and customization of ENVI using IDL Expertise in developing algorithmic solutions to solve difficult processing problems Skill in optimizing applications using OpenGL or distributed data processing technologies Familiarity with related disciplines such as spectroscopy, medical imaging, NDT, Atmospheric and Earth Sciences and military/intelligence, among others Job Type: Permanent Location: Washington-Bellevue/Redmond
