Siemens Metering Services, Nottingham has an exciting new role for Head of Health, Safety & Environment to lead the development of a positive HS&E culture and provide advice and support to management and employees in developing, implementing and maintaining, effective Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems. Siemens Metering Services, a division of Siemens plc, offers innovative solutions for energy and water utilities, as well as business users. These solutions cover the range of utility services, from meter maintenance through to management and analysis of the data collected.

You will lead and develop strategies to deploy best practice HS&E frameworks across the company and ensure support tools are effectively set-up to aid the continued integration and establishment of a culture of HS&E excellence. You will manage risks to the business through continued development of performance plans, processes and targets, through leading the HS&E team and managing the HS&E function. A key part of this role is to effectively manage the company's ISO 14001 Environmental Management system, OHSAS 18001 and Rospa QSA H&S Management system so as to remain compliant with the standards and customer, business and regulatory needs. You will ensure effective governance of HS&E particularly with regards to field service Data Collection and Meter Operations delivered via sub-contractors in Water, Gas and Electricity.

The successful candidate will hold a full NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety Management, and have demonstrable experience in working on Environmental policy (a qualification in Environmental Management would be advantageous). You will have proven experience in leading HS&E and culture change programmes at a senior level, with practical experience of developing, managing and deploying effective HS&E systems. You will be able to demonstrate your influencing skills through providing direction to a variety of functional areas. Experience of the Utility industry would be desirable although not essential, as would knowledge of operating in an international environment.
