Jobs Applications To Employers
AST [Mexico City], Faustas T [Tel Aviv] & SE [Newcastle-Upon-Tyne] and several other members have made the point that, they have not had replies to application made for jobs listed by employer members. Whilst we do understand the frustration of applying to advertised positions, we would urge patience not least since out stats would suggest that Employer Members as an average, sign in to their account area 2 times in every 7 days. Moreover, not all assign alerts to notify them of a sign of interest from CVPlacers [Jobs Seekers]. We would therefore recommend that this may cause some delay in responses. However, another major cause of non response, is that many applicants simply write a letter of introduction, without enclosing any kind of career biography as a corroboration of their interest. Our suggestion is that you open a full account, to which as a minimum you should upload some type of CV [Resume] or a simple Word/pgf document which summarises the skill you offer. This will be permanently on line [only viewable by our registered Employers members]. In this way the employer will have some good idea about your candidacy and the work skills sets you have to offer. Of course this does not necessarily guarantee that someone will respond, but in our experience it doubles your chances of getting noticed.
